For over half a century, ILCO has produced sheep and lamb meat across the entire supply chain, from farming to the finished product. Every lamb is identified on arrival and labelled before shipping: each batch is documented and traceable, from farm to delivery. This is how we guarantee our customers a safe, consistent product all year round.
It all starts with the choice of animals: our own, raised in a semi-wild, free-range system, and those from partner farms, selected by the same criteria. Knowing the animal is the first quality control.
In our EC-approved facility, every stage follows strict hygiene and sanitation procedures, certified to the international FSSC 22000 standard. The cold chain is guaranteed and monitored without interruption.
We identify every lamb on arrival and label it before shipping. At any moment we can trace the product’s origin and journey: a concrete guarantee for distribution and for the end consumer.
The company invests in training and raising staff awareness, so that every operator involved in the supply chain acts according to regulatory principles, GMP, GHP and food safety culture.
Our facility operates according to the GFSI-recognised FSSC 22000 standard. The certification ensures that every stage of production is managed through documented procedures, constant controls and a continuous-improvement system, in full compliance with current regulations.
For us, FSSC 22000 certification is not just an accreditation but a comprehensive tool to maintain HIGH LEVELS OF CONTROL and guarantee our customers — including the major large-scale retail operators — safe, compliant and reliable products, in line with the highest standards demanded by the market.
